Just Downtonw's LA Streetlights is an interactive map of street-lighting inwards Los Angeles. The map features black extruded edifice footprints lit upward past times models of all the city's streetlights.
I don't mean value that the map was created for whatever other usage than it looks actually smasher in addition to provides an interesting map of the metropolis at night. You tin see, however, how the map could last useful to metropolis planning departments, particularly for reporting faults, scheduling repairs in addition to maintaining the city's streetlights.
The map itself uses Mapbox GL's extrusion property both to present the city's buildings inwards 3d in addition to for the streetlight models themselves. The information for the maps comes from Los Angeles GeoHub, the city's novel world website for location-based opened upward data.
